Local fix

  • This issue can be avoided using the -Xjit:disableLoopVersioner
    option. This option may cause a noticeable performance
    degradation.
    

Problem summary

  • The JIT compiler was performing a loop optimization that
    resulted in an incorrect branch condition being generated in
    compiled code, resulting in the unintended execution of either a
    fast or slow loop.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR1
    6.0.1 SR2
    .
    The JIT compiler has been amended to prevent this incorrect
    behaviour.
