APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: N/A
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .
The VM reports the following error when reloading a previously
    unloaded class:
    java.lang.LinkageError: loading constraint violation: loader
"com/ibm/abc@1ae0356d" previously initiated loading for a
different type with name "javax/accessibility/xyz" defined by
    loader "foo/bar@1ec6b0bc"

Local fix

  • No workaround. This is extremely rare and is observed only
    under specific stress test conditions.

Problem summary

  • This problem is caused when large numbers of classes are being
    unloaded and reloaded.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR will be fixed in:
       7 SR1 (7.0.1.0)
       6 R1 SR1 (6.1.1.0)
       6 SR16 FP4 (6.0.16.4)
    .
The JVM class loading constraints algorithm has been updated to
    accommodate this situation.
