APAR status

Error description

  • When Krb5LoginModule is used for user/password authentication,
if the password is not specified, the Krb5LoginModule will throw
a NullPointException.

Affected jar:
ibmjgssprovider.jar

Affected versions:
Java 7, Java 7 SR1.

Local fix

  • Level 3 to update

Problem summary

  • When Krb5LoginModule is used for user/password authentication,
if the password is not specified, the Krb5LoginModule will throw
a NullPointException.

JARs affected:
ibmjgssprovider.jar

JVMs affected:
Java 7

Problem conclusion

  • In the same case, it will throw a valid exception to indicate a
password is required.
