IV19483: PE 7.8 UNDER WINDOWS 7 GETS COLUMN AMBIGUOUSLY DEFINED UNDER WORK REQUEST QUERY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In TRIRIGA Professional Edition 7.8 under Windows 7
  environemtn with Oracle you get error that column
  is ambiguouslly defined when trying to query a Work Request.
  
  In the same environment under under MS SQL Server it gives a
  message '...same
  expolsed names. Use correlation names to distinguish..."
  It is not an issue with Adaptive Serv
  
  THis issue can be seen when trying to recall a request from the
  Query tab of the Submit Work Request window or when recalling a
  Work Request from the Work Request of the Call Center window.

Problem summary

• In PE 7.8 - Data Window Error when using Query Work Requests.
  Get DataWindow Error: "Select Error: ORA-00918:
  column ambiguously define
  

Problem conclusion

• Power builder runtime was not translating correctly oracle SQL
  when left and right joins are used.
  Made data window (w_request_entry) every join to left outer
  join.  This fixed the problem
