Error description

  • Error Message: N/A
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .
When the stress test was monitoring the time spent in the
Garbage Collector the time would occasionally get smaller
instead of increasing after a Garbage Collection event.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • If the clock on the machine is adjusted during a Garbage
Collection event then there is a chance that the time spent in
that GC event would appear to be negative.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR1
    6.0.1 SR2
    .
The JVM has been updated so that it never decreases this value.
If the delta ends up being negative due to clock skew or
adjustment the JVM just ignores the time for this event.
