Local fix

Problem summary

  • With IBM JRE, Apache XML Commons Resolver packages is renamed to
com.ibm.xml.resolver.* when it was bundled within XML4J but
missed some internal references to the original
org.apache.xml.resolver.* packages. This caused registration of
the OASIS XML Catalog reader to fail. When an attempt is made to
read a catalog it would silently fail and no entries would be
available to the resolver, causing it to always return null.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR10 FP1
    6.0.1 SR1 FP1
    7.0.0 SR1
    .
This issue completely prevents customers from using XML Catalogs
with the JAX-WS tools. IBM JVM has been updated to make wsimport
    -catalog option to work properly.
