When using
ManagementFactory.getRuntimeMXBean().getInputArguments(), some
of the returned arguments cannot be used as arguments on the
command line.

Local fix

  • This issue can be worked around by modifying any calls which
utilize the value returned from getInputArguments() to remove
any options that do not start with "-" (hyphen).

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by the JVM not filtering VM Internal
arguments from the getInputArguments() result.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR11
6.0.1 SR2
7.0.0 SR1
.
The JVM has been updated to return valid options from
getInputArguments()
