Error description

  • Error Message: When using XMLEncoder to encode a ArrayList with
null value, the output XML result is different from the result
    of Oracle's RI.
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A

Local fix

  • The XML result is different, but if using this xml to decode as
a java bean, the decoded object is actually equal to the
original one. Don't compare the XML output is workaround.

Problem summary

  • The problem is that when a null value is contained in a List and
the List is invoked by XMLEncoder.encode(), the null value is
    output twice.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR11
    6.0.1 SR2
    .
Add some check to consider the situation when a List contains
null value and avoid output null value twice.

Temporary fix
