Error description

  • WSDL documents with a large number of operation takes a long
    time to load

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If the Service Model correlator is active when loading a WSDL
document with a large number of operations, the document load
takes a very long time to complete.

Problem conclusion

  • The default Service Model correlator will generate a
ServiceOperation object for every WSDL operation within the
supplied document at load time. If there are many operations
then generation of a large number of ServiceOperation objects
and linking them up to the WSDL logical objects takes a long
    time.

ServiceOperation objects are generally only necessary if it is
required that Service Level Definitions (SLDs) will
differentiate between different operations within a single
service with respect to the Quality of Service (QoS).

To improve the performance when ServiceOperation objects are not
required, two new variations of the Service Model correlator
have been added to WSRR that will no longer generate
    ServiceOperations:

    SMCorrelatorModifierNoOperations

This is equivalent to SMCorrelatorModifier, except that
ServiceOperations are not created by the correlator.

    SMCorrelatorModifierNoOperationsDisableOnImport

This is equivalent to the NoOperations modifier, except that the
correlator does not run during import and promotion operations.

These two new correlator modifier alternatives can be used in
the same way as the modifier entries described on the following
    Infocenter page:

    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/sr/v7r0/topic/com.ibm.s
    r.doc/twsr_correlator_modifier_activate.html

The new correlator modifier alternatives are targeted for
inclusion in fix pack 5 for WSRR v7.0 and fix pack 3 for WSRR
    v7.5.
