Error description

  • Error Message: Error in string table offset. The core file is
invalid and the results may unpredictable

the results may unpredictable

After issuing the error messages, jextract completes OK. The
error messages are also seen when
loading the .zip file produced by jextract into the dump viewer
utility (sdk/bin/jdmpview).

Local fix

  • The error messages do not affect the operation of jextract and
jdmpview, and can be ignored.

Problem summary

  • Spurious error messages seen when loading a core dump into the
jextract or jdmpview utilities.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR10
.
DTFJ core-readers have been improved to prevent the spurious
messages from being issued.
