Local fix
This issue can be worked around using -Xjit:disableIdiomRecognition. This workaround may impact performance.
Problem summary
The problem is caused by a JIT optimization that incorrectly transformed a loop that tests for one specific character to skip. In the failing scenario, there will be a TRT or SRST instruction generated in the problematic method. This problem will only occur on Linux on Z or zOS platforms.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 6.0.1 SR1 6.0.0 SR10 7.0.0 SR1 . The JVM has been updated to prevent this problem from occurring. . To obtain the fix: Install build 20110921 or later
