reported while loading invalid/corrupted class file.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The problem is caused by the classfile parser attempting to
access memory past the end of the classfile with an invalid
attribute length field.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This defect will be fixed in:
1.4.2 SR13FP10 (z/OS 64-bit)
1.4.2 SR13FP10 (AIX PowerPC 64-bit)
1.4.2 SR13FP10 (Linux AMD64)
1.4.2 SR13FP10 (Windows AMD64)

   The JVM has been updated to modify the location where the
length field is verified and throws a java.lang.ClassFormatError
when the error is seen. This issue only occurs in Java 1.4.2
SR13 FP9
.
To obtain the fix:
Install build 20110625 or later
