Local fix

  • This is a performance issue and there is no workaround for it.
The performance impact is relatively small.

Problem summary

  • The algorithm that is used to store interpreter profiling data
in the shared class cache (to be used by subsequent runs) has a
bug where some entries related to interface calls fail to be
stored. As a consequence, subsequent runs cannot take advantage
of such information and code quality could suffer. However, the
overall performance impact is expected to be small because the
issue is limited to methods compiled during startup.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.1 GA FP1
.
The JIT code has been modified to rectify the problem.
