Error description
ITNM 3.8 FP5 Solaris OS HopView URL are not working in multidomain. Error: Hop View URLs are not working in multidomain Customer is using multiple domains on the same itnm instance.Customer want to save the links from different hopviews in order to be accessed by different users via browsers. If the user specifies the seed using hostname, the first found in database, regardless of domain, is picked up. If seed is entity ID, then it is fine because the ID is unique in each domain. as documented in 'Hop View URL parameters': http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v8r1/topic/com .ibm.networkmanagerip.doc_3.8/itnm/ip/wip/admin/reference/nmip_a dm_connmaphopview.html Problem: Hop View ignores the 'domain' parameter and so it does not work in multidomain environments, where the 'domain' parameter is required. To replicate try the URL in multidomain: https://tip.company.net/ibm/console/ncp_topoviz/HopView.do?domai n=NCOMS2&type=layer2&layout=hierarchical&seed=a.b.c.d&hops=2&end Nodes=true and you get the 'Unable to find seed' error and the Hop View opens for wrong domain.

Problem conclusion
Domain param was read in as domainMgrId, if there was no match, default to the first domain in the domain list. Change is to assume domain param is domain name, if it's not an integer (domain ID), and try to find the domain ID for this name
