Local fix

Problem summary

  • New heap management algorithms changed the ordering in which
memory was allocated on the heap. This caused higher heap
fragmentation in cases where compaction is not used. Higher heap
fragmentation was making it impossible for Gencon to tenure
    large objects.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.1 GA FP1
    .
The heap management algorithm was changed to alleviate
fragmentation when compaction is not used.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20110210 or later

Temporary fix
