Local fix

  • This problem can be avoided by deleting the shared class cache
semaphore and shared memory before starting the JVM, or by
disabling ahead-of-time compilation with the -Xnoaot option,
or by disabling the shared class cache completely. Note that
these workarounds may cause start-up performance impact or
memory footprint growth, or both.

Problem summary

  • The issue is that the cache was populated with AOT code from
both non-compressed and compressed JVMs, which are incompatible.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR10
.
The JVM AOT compatibility code has been updated to catch this
small window of time in which an incompatible JVM will populate
AOT code into the cache.

To obtain the fix:
Install build 20110612 or later
