    The daemon thread Keep-Alive-Timer inherits it's
    contextclassloader from a parent thread's classloader which is a
    WAS application classloder due to which keeping a strong
    reference to it resulting in memory leak
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when WAS application classloader is not
    being unloaded by GC, due to invalid reference from an object
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    5.0.0 SR12 FP5
    .
    The JVM has been updated to prevent the application classloader
    leak by removing invalid reference from object
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20110610 or later
