Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This affects users of the IBM MQ REST API.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When using the REST API to obtain a list of subscriptions for a
queue manager it should return a list of all the subscriptions
meeting the supplied attributes. However if we have multiple
unnamed Subscription, then only 1 of them will be returned.
During the processing of the request we generate a Map of the
results using the Subscription Name as the key, but this only
allows a single entry for each unique Subscription Name. So
that each time we see an unnamed Subscription it replaces the
previous one, instead of a new entry in the Map.

    eg.
    curl -k
    "https://localhost:9443/ibmmq/rest/v1/admin/qmgr/QM1/subscriptio
    n?attributes=*"

Problem conclusion

  • The REST API code has been changed to ensure that each unnamed
    subscription is reported.
