Error description

  • On the new IBM MQ New Web Console, not all IBM documentation
    links are working. For example the link to the IBM Knowledge
    Center in the Help menu no longer works.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    This issue affects users of the IBM MQ New Web Console, who
    attempt to access IBM Documentation using links within the
    Console.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Due to some recent changes to the IBM web site, the "Knowledge
    Center" link on the IBM MQ New Web Console Help menu was no
    longer valid.
    
    In addition to this, the "Learn more about channels in the
    Knowledge Center" link on the "Create a channel" panel
    incorrectly linked to the "Introduction to distributed queue
    management" topic in the MQ 9.1 section of IBM Documentation.
    

Problem conclusion

  • As a result of this APAR:
    
    - The "Knowledge Center" link on the Help menu has been updated
    to link to the IBM MQ 9.2 section of IBM Documentation.
    - The "Learn more about channels in the Knowledge Center" link
    on the "Create a channel" panel now opens the "Introduction to
    distributed queue management" topic in the MQ 9.2 section of IBM
    Documentation.
