IT36233: MQ MFT: Agent property monitorGroupRetryLimit=-1 not behaving asexpected

Error description

• Using IBM MQ MFT, the agent's resource monitor stopped retrying
  the group of messages on the monitored queue.  Even though the
  agent property monitorGroupRetryLimit=-1 is set in the
  agent.properties file, the agent records a BFGDM0100E error in
  the
  output0.log file.  For example:
  
  BFGDM0100E: The number of times that the monitor task has been
  re-tried for groupId:
  '414d51204d46545433202020202020209a8b23602bd93b23' on queue:
  'MY.QL' has exceeded the value specified by the agent property
  monitorGroupRetryLimit.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If a message-to-file transfer that is triggered by a resource
  monitor fails and leaves the message group that triggered the
  monitor on the queue,
  that transfer is resubmitted at subsequent poll intervals.
  
  The number of times that the transfer is resubmitted is limited
  by the monitorGroupRetryLimit property of the monitoring agent.
  By setting it to -1 the transfer task is expected to be
  continuously retried, but this does not happen and the agent
  displayed the BFGDM0100E error message on the output.log
  An example of error message is shown below:
  
  BFGDM0100E: The number of times that the monitor task has been
   re-tried for groupId:
  '414d51204d46545433202020202020209b8b23602bd93b23' on queue:
  'MY.QU' has exceeded the value specified by the agent property
  monitorGroupRetryLimit.
  

Problem conclusion

• IBM MQ MFT resource monitor has been updated such that setting
  monitorGroupRetryLimit to -1 will continuously retry the monitor
  transfer task.
