APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User, with PCOMM FTP Client connecting to z/OS and with SSL
  Security enabled, encounters error on TLS handshake when the
  data connection is opened.
  
  PCOMM FTP Client fails most of the
  time when set Data Channel in PCOMM to "Private".
  
  The failures
  do not happen as often when FTP Client Trace in enabled, but
  still fails occassionally.
  
  Looking on FTP Client Trace, TLS
  connection is still made but when "LIST" command is issued,
  this failure is encoutered:

  appears to be a timing issue.

  PCOMM FTP client is connecting to a z/OS V2R2 FTP Server with
  SSL Security enabled, when the data connection is opened the FTP
  Client fails often with a TLS handshake error 534 TLS
  negotiation failed.
  

Problem conclusion

• PCSFTP.DLL changes have been made to the buffer size for a
  secure handshake receive socket and more time is given to
  receive the data from the host.
  
  Fix scheduled: PCOMM 13.0.4 Refresh Pack
