APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer gets error messages from SDCP like, sdcp[417]: test:
argument expected and sdcp[471]: usage:run [-cpu=cpu_number |
-debug | -defmode={off|on}. Additionally SDCP reports sdcp::
sdcp main process running on CPU without displaying an actual
CPU number in the message. Also SDCP reports only one active CPU
 available on the system. This results in various important
parts of SDCP are missing.

Problem summary

  • Method identifying available and currently used CPUs is
unnecessary complex and on some systems unreliable.

Problem conclusion

  • Functionality was re-implemented with far less complexity.
