  • PureApplication System users may experience the following error
when trying to download log files from the PureApp System -->
System Troubleshooting GUI.

ipas.asyncsystemlogs.gather.4f10e9dd-6645-4752-aa16-9a35690e0b3
8 running as PID 26487. Download the dump logs from
https://111.11.11.111
/ipas/dumps/ipas.async.26487.systemlogs.gat
her.4f10e9dd-6645-4752-aa16-9a35690e0b38.20190228_1034.dump_zi
p s.tar and provide them to IBM support.

Local fix

  • Open a PMR to IBM PureApplication support to verify the problem.
Send our team the outputs of the following commands:

free -k
sudo dmidecode --type memory
lsof +L1

If the problem has been confirmed then we will have the
ipas.systemlog.common3.jar replaced on PSM under
/data/purescale/smash/ipas.async/private/expanded/ibm/ipas.syste
mlog.common-1.2.0.0/lib/ipas.systemlog.common.jar

Problem conclusion

  • ipas.systemlog.common3.jar replaced on PSM under
/data/purescale/smash/ipas.async/private/expanded/ibm/ipas.syste
mlog.common-1.2.0.0/lib/ipas.systemlog.common.jar - This issue
has been fixed on cloud Pak System 2.3.0.1
