APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Having a pattern that is used for production  ( e.g.
DB2_11.1_SOR_HADR). The pattern uses a plugin ( e.g.
plugin.bcie.tsm_1.1.0.0 ) that is locked
in the pattern. Unfortunately, once a  new version of the
plugin is installed, both the Pattern Editor and
deploying the pattern complain about the 'missing required
parameter' ( that was introduced with the new version of the
plugin ).

This is a serious problem since installing a new version of the
plugin breaks the current pattern.

  • The latest available version of the plugin will be chosen by
pattern if "Unlock plug-ins"  is selected - Fixed on Cloud Pak
System 2.3.0.1
