Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the IBM MQ V9.1 Managed File
Transfer (MFT) component , who have agents that connect to an
agent queue manager licensed for Managed File Transfer usage.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If an IBM MQ V9.1 agent was configured to use an agent queue
manager that was licensed for Managed File Transfer, and not MQ
Advanced, the following message was output by the agent:

"BFGAG0189W: The agent is connected to a queue manager that does
    not have "advanced" license capability."

The message resulted in confusion over whether anything was
wrong with the current MFT environment.

Problem conclusion

  • The start-up message on the agent has been updated such that
messages BFGAG0190W and BFGAG0191I are only displayed on
    distributed platforms and
    	1. if the agent is configured with an agent queue manager
that has an IBM MQ Advanced license then the message displayed
    will be
"BFGAG0191I: The agent is connected to a queue
manager which is suitably licensed for usage with IBM MQ Managed
    File Transfer."

    	2. if the agent could not determine the license then the
    message displayed will be
"BFGAG0190W: The agent is connected to a queue
manager and couldn't confirm whether the queue manager was
suitably licensed for IBM MQ Managed File Transfer usage."
