APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a CLOSE message is overtaken by a CPU DOWN message
  the cleanup done as a reaction to the CLOSE will fail
  since the data it tries to access is not valid anymore,
  resulting in error 4022 when trying to lock a mutex.
  When a CPU fails that contains MQ queue manager processes,
  internal connections to those processes, are not properly
  released and cleaned up.  Other MQ processes suffer errors
  performing Guardian process I/O.  FDC shows-

Local fix

Problem summary

• When a CPU fails that contains MQ queue manager processes,
  internal connections to those processes, are not properly
  released and cleaned up. Other MQ processes suffer errors
  performing Guardian process I/O and emit FFST's.
  

Problem conclusion

• The IPCC component within MQ that manages communications
  between MQ processes has been revised to properly cleanup
  internal connections to missing processes, which allows
  them to handle and report the condition gracefully.
