APAR status

  • Closed as documentation error.

Error description

  • Customer non-native applications may abend in READX,
due to implicit cast of readCnt to the wrong type.

Local fix

  • Rebind application with mqmtns provided in fixpak
5.3.1.8 or higher.

Problem summary

  • HPE changed the interface of non-native READX.

Problem conclusion

  • Latest mqmtns objects were compiled with correct prototypes,
so rebind of application with current mqmtns will solve
the problem.
