Error description
Using the client option PASSWORACCESS=GENERATE, there will be some instances when the password expires, the client update the password automatically, but still got an error saying it cannot prompt for the password. For example, in the client dsmerror.log and dsmsched.log: 10/25/2017 21:27:48 Password updated. 10/25/2017 21:29:03 ANS2050E IBM Spectrum Protect needs to prompt for the password but cannot prompt because the process is running in the background. This will cause the schedule operation to fail. On the IBM Spectrum Protect server activity log, similar messages are seen. 10/25/2017 21:27:39 ANR0406I Session 4589 started for node xxxx 10/25/2017 21:27:39 Password updated. 10/25/2017 21:27:39 ANR0403I Session 4589 ended for node xxxx. 10/25/2017 21:27:39 ANR0406I Session 4590 started for node xxxx 10/25/2017 21:29:15 ANR0424W Session 4592 for node xxxx refused - invalid password submitted. This is a timing issue and the next client operation will have the correct password. Products affected: IBM Spectrum Protect Backup-Archive Client version 7.1.6- 7.1.8.1 and 8.1 on all platforms.
