APAR status

Error description

  • When creating a Sterling B2B Integrator or Sterling File
Gateway cluster environment using host names, if one of the
host names contains "ws", the host name will be truncated in the
"URL" field under "Operations", "System",
"Cluster", "Node Status.

Local fix

In RFC1033, it is specified that host names are not case
sensitive on DNS servers. Therefore the host name will resolve
to an IP address even if you have letters in upper case.
The workaround for this issue is to edit the sandbox.cfg file in
the /install/properties direcotry:
- Set the "WS" part of the host name in upper case and then save
the changes to the file.
- Stop the application.
- Navigate to the /install/bin directory and execute one of the
following commands:
  - On Unix or Linux: ./setupfiles.sh
  - On Windows: setupfiles.cmd
- When the script finishes running, restart the application.
