Error description
The file sent from iSeries platform in EBCDIC format is not translated to ASCII after the file is received in IBM Sterling File Gateway, if the datatype and xlate parameters are not specified in C:D (PNODE) script.
Local fix
The work around is to mention Datatype=Text and xlate=yes in the C:D script on iseries.
Problem summary
Users Afected: All Problem Description: Files are not translated from EBCDIC to ASCII by default from CD iSeries to SI/CDSA after upgrading from V5.2.4 to V5.2.6.3_3. Platforms Affected: All
Problem conclusion
Resolution Summary: A code fix is provided. The Connect Direct protocol defines (2) values describing AS400 and iSeries platforms. The CDSA only recognized one these. The CDSA now recognizes both platforms during default copy parameter value processing restoring copy behavior when the COPY statement from the remote iSeries PNODE's process does not specify any destination SYSOPTS.
