IT22960: VM RESTORE DOES NOT CLEAN UP TEMPORARY FILES AND DIRECTORIES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1. After a successful VM restore, it leaves behind temporary
  directories:
    e.g. C:\mnt\tsmvmbackup\CDF_Restore\test_linux_lin
  linhrest\disk_1\Hard Disk 1\
  
  2. After an unsuccessful VM restore (e.g. a cancelled restore),
  it leaves behind the temp directories AND CTL files
  
  Products affected:
  IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments: Data Protection
  for VMware version 8.1.2 and higher on Windows x64 platforms.
  
  This problem also affects IBM Spectrum Protect Backup-Archive
  Client which is the data mover for Data Protection for
  VMware 7.1.8 and higher. If you are using
  Data Protection for VMware 7.1.8 and higher refer to APAR
  IT24008.
