APAR status

Error description

  • User with READ_ONLY access with specified group permission is
able to execute the BP in back ground, even though in UI during
execution of BP which displays the error message  "You do not
have the appropriate permissions to access this area.
You must contact the system administrator if you need
permissions to this area." "Unauthorized".

Users with _DENY_BPEXEC permissions.

Problem Description:
Users with _DENY_BPEXEC permissions were able to select the
Restart option in completed or Halted BP.

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:

A code fix is provided.
Prevent users without BPEXEC or without _DENY_BPEXEC permission,
from restarting BPs.
