APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A managed .NET client can not reference security exit in a path
    that contains parentheses.
    
    When specifying a security exit, the channel startup fails with
    error AMQ9535 as follows due to the parenthesis within the
    default path '(x86)':
    AMQ9535: User exit not valid.
    EXPLANATION:
    Channel program 'TEST' ended because user exit 'C:\Program
    Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ\exits\Test(Exit)' is not valid.
    Architecture of the exit library does not match the process's
    architecture which is '' bit.
    ACTION:
    Ensure that the user exit is specified correctly in the channel
    definition, and that the user exit program is correct and
    available.
    

Local fix

  • Put the exit dll in a path which doesn't contain a parentheses

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    MQ was incorrectly calculating the first parentheses in the path
    to calculate the exit entry point string.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been corrected to ensure that the parentheses in
    the path taken into consideration while deriving the exit entry
    point string.
