Error description

  • When the CIMOM monitoring the switches and fabrics became
unreachable, the status for the switch ports was changed to show
them as missing. This caused alerts to be generated indicating
missing switch ports, but they actually were still online. To
maintain consistent behavior across devices, such as storage
systems, the switch ports should not be set as undetectable when
the CIMOM data source is not reachable. Only the top level
switches and fabrics should be updated as unreachable and
generate alerts for the status change.
