IT21277: MAPPING NODE FAILS WITH NOCLASSDEFFOUNDERROR XMAP_

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Following the redeployment of a number of shared libraries that
  are referenced by multiple applications and include Mapping
  nodes it is possible that a Mapping node can fail reporting a
  BIP error message of the form:
  
  "BIP3946E NoClassDefFoundError xmap_<mapname><unique id>.class"
  
  This will occur for all messages until either the shared library
  is redeployed again or the integration server is restarted
  

Local fix

• The problem can be resolved by redeploying the shared library
  containing the failing Mapping node, or restarting the
  integration server.

Problem conclusion

• The Mapping node is corrected so that in the above case it will
  just report the error once and revert to running the map as a
  interpreted script for the current message transaction and
  initiate a new compile of the map into Java byte code
