Error description

  • On Windows if there is a file or folder C:\temp where the logged
    in user in Windows, that starts the Spectrum Control Windows
    services, does not have write privilege
    the Web Server fails to start due to "Failed to load
    tpccli.properties", the error looks like the following in
    messages.log of SC WebServer:

Local fix

  • Install or upgrade to SC 5.2.14 on Windows.
    In Windows create a Windows user like: anesi01 which is not in
    Administrators, but is in Remote Desktop Users.
    Then when logged with Administrator, create the C:\temp folder
    and remove all the rights for the Administrators group and
    restart Web Server when logged in with user: anesi01.
