    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Enhance the Integration Server XPath cache to allow the cache to
be disabled and to emit activity log messages on certain cache
    activities.

Problem conclusion

  • The XPath cache has been enhanced to enable the cache to be
disabled and to emit activity log messages on certain cache
    activities.

A new 'mode' property has been added to the ComIbmXPathCache
object which can be reported with the below command:

    mqsireportproperties <node> -e <server> -o ComIbmXPathCache -r

The new 'mode' property can be set to 'enabled' which is the
default and means the cache is enabled, or 'disabled' to disable
    the cache.
The cache can be disabled with the following command:

    mqsichangeproperties <node> -e <server> -o ComIbmXPathCache -n
    mode -v disabled

The Integration Server will then need to be restarted to pick up
    the change.

There are now 2 activity log messages output by the XPathCache.
The ComIbmXPathCache object now contains an addition property
called 'entryWarningThreshold' which controls the frequency of 1
of the 2 new activity log messages.
One which gives updates on the size of the cache and is output
every time the cache reaches a size where when divided by
    'entryWarningThreshold' the result is 0.
The default value for this is 1000 and is 1/10th of the default
    maximum size of the cache.
The second entry is output when a cache flush occurs and shows
the size of the cache before the flush and the size after the
    flush.
The activity log messages are output under a resource manager of
    'XPathCache'.
