In order to install a new loopback connector the "npm" command needs to be run on the underlying IIB install. At 10.0.0.9 on linux this produces the error: /opt/mqsi/iib-10.0.0.9/common/node/bin/npm: 2: exec: /opt/mqsi/iib-10.0.0.9/common/node/bin/node: not found
