Below are the steps to recreate the problem:
On a Microsoft Windows system where IBM Personal Communications
is installed, go to "Send File To Host" dialog,
    1. Click on Browse" on "PC File name" and select a file
with .text extension in the local machine.
    2. Press Tab to auto fill other details like host file name
    3. Click on "Add to list" button
    4. In transfer list, we see that host file name gets appended
    with "bin".

Problem conclusion

  • PCSXFER.DLL code changes are made to recognize ".text" as valid
txt format while sending files to the host.
