Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Typically 2087 is returned when the queue manager alias is
specified as the object queue manager.

Local fix

  • n/a

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users putting messages where there are:
    Multiple clusters
Queue manager aliases (remote queues without RNAMEs) shared in
only one cluster, and used as the object queue manager name.
    ****************************************************************
The subscription for a clustered queue manager alias is remade
when REFRESH CLUSTER is issued. However, the refresh bit is
not set when the cluster queue manager alias object is used.
When a queue manager is a member of multiple clusters this can
cause only 'No Pubs' subscriptions to exist alongside the
objects. If the objects expire before the subscription the
object is no longer accessible in the cluster.
Ensure the cluster cache contains up-to-date information about
the clustered queue manager alias, and continues to subscribe
to the object as it is used.

Problem conclusion

  • Set the refresh bit on the subscription to the clustered queue
manager alias object whenever the object is used.
