APAR status

Error description

  • If the broker is running in a German locale time zone which has
    a shortname of 'MEZ', then timestamps are corrupt and show
    invalid entries.
    
    This IBM Integration Bus APAR ships Java APAR IV93395.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of WebSphere Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus
    using in German locales with shortnames of MEZ.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    If the broker is running in a German locale time zone, which has
    a shortname of 'MEZ', then timestamps are corrupt and show
    invalid entries.
    
    In the WebUI, the admin log entry timestamps shows as
    ''0NaN-NaN-NaN NaN:NaN:NaN.NaN GMT-NaN:NaN' and in the runtime
    the date in MEZ fails to parse.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product now contains a new level of the Java Runtime
    Environment that can translate timezones correctly in German
    locales.
