IT19564: ALLOW A MONITORING PROFILE TO BE SET ON A MESSAGE FLOW VIA ADMINISTRATION REST API

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using commands it has always been possible to perform the
  following actions:
  
  1) Create a monitoring profile configurable service using
     mqsicreateconfigurableservice
  2) Apply the profile to a message flow using
     mqsichangeflowmonitoring
  3) Switch on monitoring for the message flow using
     mqsichangeflowmonitoring
  
  It should be possible to perform the same steps through the
  administration REST API.
  
  While it is possible to perform to do (1) and (3) in the REST
  API it was not possible to do (2).
  

Local fix

• This omission has been addressed such that it is now possible to
  assign a monitoring profile to a flow using a POST along the
  lines of:
  
  /apiv1/executiongroups/{egName}/messageflows/Flow/properties/mon
  itoringProfile?value=myNewMonitoringProfile
  
  The same style path can be used for a message flow in an
  Application/Library by including the applications/{appName}
   and/or libraries/{libraryName} in the path as required.

  All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 using the administration
  REST API to apply a monitoring profile to a message flow

  z/OS, MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  It was not possible to apply a monitoring profile to a message
  flow using the REST API, despite being able to create the
  configurable service and switch monitoring on using this method.
  

Problem conclusion

• It is now possible to assign a monitoring profile to a flow
  using a POST along the lines of:
  
  /apiv1/executiongroups/{egName}/messageflows/Flow/properties/mon
  itoringProfile?value=myNewMonitoringProfile
  
  The same style path can be used for a message flow in an
  Application/Library by including the applications/{appName}
  and/or libraries/{libraryName} in the path as required.
