Error description
Environment: Pcom 12.0.1 The customer has an issue about mark function of a keyboard. They assigned the mark function to the "Ctrl + arrow key". [mark up] [mark right] [mark left] [mark down] If an Ctrl + arrow key is released when the range is selected by the arrow key, the problem on which a trim box disappears occurred. I tested this problem by the following versions. Pcom 6.0.17 6.0.18 Pcom 12.0 12.0.1 An issue occurs by Pcom 6.0.18 and Pcom 12.0.1. I think that fix included in the latest version is the cause.

Scenario 2: Create a Trim-rectangle using either mouse or keyboard (SHIFT+Arrows) After Creating the Trim rectangle, try to move or shift it using keyboard combination (Ctrl+Arrow) This will cause the trim rectangle to disappear.
Problem conclusion
PCSWS.EXE changes have been made to handle all scenarios of arrow key press functionalities of Trim-rectangle. Fix scheduled for PCOM 6.0.19 and 12.0.2 Refresh Pack
