Error description

  • On Windows platforms, where 8.3 naming is disabled, mqsidc
    script throws the error:

Error: Could not find or load main class
    Files\IBM\MQSI\9.0.0.6\isadc;D:\Program

    "Running License Acceptance Process Tool"
Error: Could not find or load main class Files\IBM\MQSI\9.0.0.6
    \isadc\licenses\LAPApp.jar
"You must accept the license before running the ISA Data
    Collector"

Local fix

  • Edit the mqsidc manually script to enclose the path variables
    addressing file locations containing spaces.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
On Windows platforms, where 8.3 naming is disabled, mqsidc
    script throws the error:

Error: Could not find or load main class : ...\LAPApp.jar

When 8.3 file naming convention is disabled on Windows platform,
then the directory paths with space in them are not resolved
correctly and hence mqsidc fails to find the location of the
    depenedent jar files.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

    tools.mft.doc/bb23814_.htm

Problem conclusion

  • The mqsidc script now encloses the path variables with double
quotes so that the file paths are resolved correctly when 8.3
naming format is disabled on Windows platforms.
