off MFT fixpack 5 or higher:
BFGUT0002E: An internal error has occurred. Product failure data
    was captured in file "FFDC.FTE.20170206110036585.log".

    failed with com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutine.api.IOExitPath.

Local fix

  • After uninstalling 8006 to revert to 8005, run this command to
    restore the missing jar file:

    RST DEV('/qsys.lib/qmqmmft.lib/ftagent0.file')
    OBJ('/QIBM/ProdData/mqm/mqft/ftagent/mqft/lib/com.ibm.wmqfte.exi
    troutines.api.base.jar' *INCLUDE
    '/QIBM/ProdData/mqm/mqft/lib/com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutines.api.bas
    e.jar'))

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
IBM i MFT users who install fixpack 8.0.0.6 then decide to
    rollback to 8.0.0.5

    Platforms affected:
    IBM iSeries

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The MFT install code via PTFs was incorrectly removing
    com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutines.api.base.jar from the ../mft/lib
directory during a fixpack uninstall and not restoring it back.
This resulted in the file being missing after the fixpack
uninstall and various MFT commands not working.

Problem conclusion

  • The PTF install code has been modified to correctly remove and
    restore the com.ibm.wmqfte.exitroutines.api.base.jar file during
    a fixpack uninstall.
