Error description
The Graphical Data Mapper can omit to declare the namespace binding for the "xs" prefix that has been used in a xsi:type attribute added to output XML element for a mapping to an element cast to a base XML schema type, eg xs:base64Binary. The issue occurs when generating the map to an XQuery executable with product specific extensions.
Local fix
Since the "xs" prefix is reserved there is no option to add a user definition and a product fix is required.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Integration Bus V10.0 who use the Mapping node with Graphical Data Maps that output elements cast to base 'xs' types. Platforms affected: z/OS, MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A Mapping node using a Graphical Data Map that has a mapping to an output element that is defined to have an xs: type, for example xs:base64Binary, by casting a xs:anySimpleType or xs:anyType to that ofbv a specific XML schema type might output an invalid XML document. The XML will be invalid because it does not declare a URL binding for the "xs" namespace prefix used in the xsi:type attribute value on the type cast output element. There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. Problem conclusion
The Graphical Data Map internal generation from the .map file is corrected to ensure that the xs namespace is declared when used in an xsi:type attribute. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v10.0 10.0.0.8 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006041 If the maintenance level is not yet available, information on its planned availability can be found on: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006308 ---------------------------------------------------------------
