APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The MQInput node does not put a backed out message to the dead
letter queue when there is a failure opening the backout requeue
    queue
    defined on the Input queue.

For instance when an MQRC 2063 (MQRC_SECURITY_ERROR) occurs,
the input message will be continually backed out and
re-processed, and a failure message is written to the system
    message log for each occurrence.

Local fix

  • 1. Stop the Message flow and manually remove the failing
    message.

    2. Fix the condition that causes the back out to occur. For
instance if the failure is the result of an invalid policy for
Advanced Message Security, then amend the policy.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The MQInput node does not put a backed out message to the dead
letter queue when there is a failure opening the backout requeue
    queue
    defined on the input queue.

For instance when an MQRC 2063 (MQRC_SECURITY_ERROR) occurs,
the input message will be continually backed out and
    re-processed,
with a failure message written to the system message log for
    each occurrence.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The MQInput node now puts a backed out message to the dead
letter queue if there is a failure putting it to the backout
requeue queue defined on the input queue.
