Error description

  • Customer reports that the FTP client from PCOM 6.0.13 on
Win2012 crashes frequently if the session is TLS encrypted with
MSCAPI. No problems with un-encrypted sessions.

After IT16574, the receive works fine even for big data sets
(10GB) but send is still crashing if large files are used.
    Small files are OK

    ****************************************************************
FTP client crashes when sending large files to a z/OS host if a
secure connection is made using MSCAPI Security. Buffer
size was not managed correctly for sending larger files.

Problem conclusion

  • PCSFTP code changes have been made to correct the size of buffer
    used to send large files.

Fix scheduled for PCOM 6.0.19 Refresh Pack and 12.0.2.0 Refresh
    Pack.
