APAR status

Error description

  • Considering this scenario:
    "Replicating server A to server B and replicating server B to
    server A.
    Proxy node and assigned datamovers on server A are replicated to
    server B
    and vice versa.
    In order to restore data of proxy node from server A in case of
    disaster
    (on  site A) on server B the datamover from server A needs to be
    a proxy agent on
    proxy node on server B in send mode.
    Than proxy nodes can be restored that were backed up on
    datamover A on datamover B without
    any further actions. "
    
    Currently the proxy agent node is expected to be in send mode if
    the target node is in send mode so that they both can be
    replicated to the same target server.
    If the proxy agent node is not in the send mode this error
    message is generated during replication:
    
    ANR3187E Replication of associated replication node
    proxy_agent_node failed
    
    This APAR is to allow this scenario without producing an error
    message.
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect versions affected:
    Server 6.3.x and 7.1.x and higher on all supported platforms
