Error description

  • When a broker is configured with global cache using 'default'
policy the execution groups which act as 'Client' may end up in
a loop of error BIP7156W during startup. The error BIP7156W is
typically generated when the grid does not exist on the server
    (catalog/container) side.

The containers have the grid definition. Therefore, until a
container is started there are no grids defined. Therefore, if
an execution group which is acting as a 'client' tries to
connect to the grid before it is fully initialized, the client
EG may end up in a continuous loop of error BIP7156W and not
connect to the grid until the EG is restarted.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 using Global Cache with
    default policy.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When an Integration Node is configured with global cache using
'default' policy, any integration server that acts as a 'client'
to the global cache may end up in a loop continually issuing
BIP7156W errors during startup. This problem occurs in a
situation because the integration server tries to connect to the
global cache grid as a client before the grid in the container
    server is initialized.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product now allows a longer time delay (30 seconds) for the
client integration server to attempt connection with the global
    cache grid.
